  6. mac9416 says:

    Hi, Reza!

There have been some problems with the Windows executables in 0.92.4. I would suggest running Keryx from source and seeing if the problem persists.

Hey, that’s what I had been looking for for years!!!

(I never understood why especially the linux folks with “their” philosophy don’t keep all the millions of “offline-users” in mind. (Something like/) This tool should become standard in every distro!)

Thanks a lot!!! (…hope I get it to work ;-)

  11. Chris Oliver says:

For anyone who was asking earlier: The lucid projects are now available in the projects.zip file located here: http://launchpad.net/keryx/stable/0.92/+download/projects.zip

Hi Chris! Tank you very much for the lucid project.

    Hello Chris!
I cannot find the “ubuntu-restricted-extras”, “VLC”, the plugins of flash, etc. with keryx. Can it be that it is absent something in ” sources list “? I am using the project for Ubuntu 10.04.
    Regards!!

    Hi!

Please create a pre-made project for Ubuntu 10.4.
Full single file (for stable bandwidth) and a chunks/splitted files (for unstable/slower bandwidth).

    -am

  19. Chris Oliver says:

Keryx will work with any distribution that uses APT already. We don't provide premade projects for them all, but you can use Keryx on Debian, Linux Mint, and (never tried) should work on Mepis as well if the files are in the same place for when you create the project. :)

  20. Chris Oliver says:

    Hey Andrés!

Make sure you have the multiverse and universe repositories enabled. You need both of those for the packages you mentioned.

Also the flashplugin package will not work. It tries to download files during installation and Keryx cannot do anything to change that. The package will fail to install because it cannot download the flash plugin. Sorry. :

  21. Chris Oliver says:

We do have a 10.04 premade project which you can download here: http://edge.launchpad.net/keryx/stable/0.92/+do... It's included with the others for convenience.

  25. Adq5 says:

    Hi Crhis!
I believe that I did not explain well. The problem is that using ” pre-made proyect for Ubuntu Luciad 10.04 “I cannot find the majority of the things that I need to unload (ubuntu-restrictedextras, vlc, etc.). I cannot find it in the seeker of keryx. When it was using the project for Karmic this was not happening to myself.
Can it be a error of the project for Ubuntu 10.04? But I will have to return to install ubuntu 9.10. I will be grateful for a response to you.
    Thank you!
    Andrés from Argentine

  26. Spartan Tenchu says:

the lucid dependacies are the exact same files as karmic so just use those, i am.

  27. Chris Oliver says:

    Hey Andrés,
Those packages are there, you just don't have the universe and multiverse repositories enabled. The projects come with the default repositories so you need to edit Sources.list and uncomment the lines for universe and multiverse and then reload the package list from the internet with Keryx and you should be good to go.

  28. Adq5 says:

Excuse me for insisting, but how I edit the source list of the project for Lucid 32bits?

  29. mac9416 says:

    Hi, Andrés,
You can edit your project's sources by opening the project in Keryx, and then going to Project > Edit Sources. Uncomment the lines for the Universe and Multiverse repositories and save the changes. When you reload the project, ubuntu-restricted-extras should be available.

  30. datacrime says:

mi computadora utiliza proxy y keryx no logra conectarse a ningun repository ya configure el usuario y password y nada no se conecta

  31. Adq5 says:

Thank you for the response Chris! Arrange it! Other one asks: is it possible to add to the sources list the repositories of medibuntu?

  32. Chris Oliver says:

No problem :) If you just copy the lines from this page into your current sources.list it will work just fine.

http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/lucid.list for lucid and you can replace the name with hardy, karmic, etc for the other ones.
